Two of Mom's hand dye-stamped and painted turtle fabrics are framed in a square within a square setting with three-dinensional black "flaps" and then framed with triangle patchwork. A lone appliqued batik turtle swims across the border. The piece is hand quilted throughout in lovely scallops with dark green thread. The backing looks like muslin with wispy green sprigs. Very delicate. The binding was applied by machine and hand-stiched in place on the back. Add your own sleeve and this little quilt measuring 14" x 29" will comliment any decor.
