I truly have received a great honor. Amanda in Georgia recently wrote to tell me that after reading one of my newsletters she went out to check her cows. Yes, that's right, COWS. Apparently for some reason she forgot the "birth name" of one of her heifers (hey, it could happen). Amanda informs me, that her new name is AMI. Yes, a cow has been named after ME! Not only that, but Ami (the cow, now the original) was "with calf." And, get this, Amanda named Ami's daughter SIMMS. Is that not cool? Amanda reports that Simms is a very curious girl cow and is expecting some time next year. I think we should help her name it, don't you? In the meantime, Ami and Bucky (cows, people, COWS!) are the happy parents of a bouncing baby bull named Buckeye. I am just so MOOOOOVED by Amanda's kind gesture.
