I taught in St. John's International School in Brussels, Belgium. The kids each designed their own block (the other teacher did the cat block in the middle with the mouse dangling from its mouth; my pup is in the upper left), and they did the applique by hand. Most of the kids had only had my beginning wall hanging class before, and a few had never done any quilting at all before the pups. We had a great time working together, and I now have a great memento of quilting in Brussels. The kids making the quilt came from Pakistan, Finland, Jordan, the US, and Switzerland, so it truly was an international project.
