I'm not sure which, but I'll know soon. My sister- and brother-in-law are expecting. (A baby!)
I was leafing through the May/June 2002 issue of Fons and Porter's For the Love of Quilting and saw "Liz's Daisy Chain." What a terrific quilt! Just perfect for our new niece or nephew.
Mom stamped the flowers and the nine-patches with Setacolor and I turned them into a quilt. It LOOKS pieced, but most of it is just dyed.
Thanks to a tip from Nanette Zeller, I used FLEECE for the backing and no batting! Super idea. It's SO soft!
It's machine quilted in a meandering heart motif the needle invented as I stitched.
Congratulations Jim and Jenni!
