Puppus Doggus
Block Pattern

This Puppus Doggus pattern is "FREE." (Notice the quotation marks.) If you USE the pattern, you just have to have to send me a block or $1 donation to Leader Dogs For The Blind or Paws With a Cause. (We're on the honor system here. And if you "forget" Madison will leave a present on your front lawn! Details are in the pattern.)

HOW DOES THIS TEST WORK? After you make sure you have the necessary software, you'll send me an e-mail using the link below. I'll e-mail back, hopefully within 24 hours, with the pattern attached to the e-mail. (Why can't you just download it from the web page? Because when you purchase one of the "Dog-Yeared" patterns you'll be receiving it as an e-mail attachment and we need to know NOW if your ISP (Internet Service Provider) will allow attachments that are about 1-2 MB in size.) Don't worry; I'll take you through each step. (Might be a good idea to print this and follow along with paper in hand.)

Step #1: In order to open a PDF file you need a program called Adobe Acrobat Reader. Many newer computers come with it. If yours did, and it's version 5.0, skip to Step #2. If yours didn't, or you have an older version, you can get what you need for free. You will need to know the following information:
  • The language you speak (English)
  • The platform you are using (like Windows98….)
  • The country closest to you (USA or Japan)
Click HERE to go to the Adobe Acrobat website and scroll down until you get to the chart at the bottom in the gray boxes. Select the appropriate responses for the three drop-down boxes in Step 1. Skip Step 2. Hit the read DOWNLOAD button in Step 3 and follow the prompts. After you download Acrobat Reader, the installation wizard will take you through the installation process. Basically, just do what it says.

Step #2: Send me an e-mail using this link: MalleryPress@aol.com. If you use a freebie e-mail client, like Hotmail, be sure you read and remove all e-mail before you request this pattern. This is a big file (nearly 1 meg) and may not come through if your mailbox is full.

We'll send you an email with an attachment. Somewhere in the e-mail screen you should find an option to download this file. Please do so and jot down WHERE you are downloading the file to. (I think I just strangled a participle.) It could be your Download Directory, your Desktop, the last place you downloaded something else. If you are worried that you can't find it later, download it to your desktop. (Mac users are on their own and probably don't need me anyway.) When you find it again, double click on it. Your Acrobat Reader should pop up and open it for you. Print it out and give it a whirl!
