Made for my son using "guy" colors, this quilt lives quietly in a box. Piecing it was a challenge, as no two blocks are the same size. Machine quilted with extra fine fish line on the front, and regular thread on the back. (This was supposed to be invisible). Being cheap by nature I used a old bed sheet on the back, The binding was a challenge, but I managed to mostly get it on. As a quilter I don't mend, so when it started to fall apart after the first washing I grabbed the first thing available to fix it: crewel thread. I am unsure what the filling is. My son realized there are some things more important than warmth, and sensibly left it behind when he moved into his own apartment.
