The pictures in the quilt are couple shots of myself and my husband going back to when we were dating in 1961 up to and including when he retired from the Marine Corps in 1989. Also tossed in are the newborn pictures of our three children. The messages are from that old thing girls used to write in each other's autograph books: "First comes love, then comes marriage, etc." I threw the quilt top together with a variety of greens and some browns in a haphazard manner adding here and there to get things to fit per your suggestions.
