I'm a very blessed woman. Not only is God in my life, but God blessed me with a wonderful husband that quilts too. His name is Richard. This is a picture memory lap quilt that he did for the Warden that was retiring from the prison where he works earlier this year. The small pictures where taken all during the time the Warden was at this prison of different events and different people. The large picture in the center is an aerial picture of the prison. Then Richard spent days collecting signatures from the other employees on the blocks before he pieced it together. He presented this to her (yes, a woman Warden) at her retirement party. She was very touched. She's from Virginia, so I appliquéd leaves in the four corners to remind her of the beautiful fall colors in the leaves as they are turning. Not only does she have memories from her workplace, but a little piece of home too. Terri Turner
